The 18 ton straight arm truck mounted crane is an efficient lifting and transportation equipment. When the vehicle is in operation, it takes power from the gearbox in the cab, drives the hydraulic pump to rotate, and provides high-pressure oil to various components, thereby realizing the extension, amplitude, rotation and other actions of the straight arm crane to complete the lifting and lowering of goods.

• Structure: The  truck mounted crane mainly consists of a truck chassis, cargo compartment, power take - off, and straight - boom crane. The straight - boom crane is usually installed between the cab and the cargo compartment, including components such as the boom, turntable, frame, and outriggers.

 

• Working Principle: The  truck mounted crane takes power from the transmission in the cab to drive the hydraulic pump to rotate, providing high - pressure oil for each hydraulic component. Thus, various actions of the straight - boom crane are achieved. For example, the telescopic boom adjusts the working radius and height through the expansion and contraction of the hydraulic cylinder. The hoisting mechanism realizes the winding and unwinding of the steel wire rope by the rotation of the drum to lift and lower the goods. The luffing mechanism adjusts the boom elevation angle by the drive of the hydraulic cylinder.
